Integral Eye Movement Therapy
Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a quick change therapy that can help with many issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, phobias, depression, insomnia, addictions, guilt issues, psoriasis, anxiety, shame, stress, eating disorders, sadness. It is similar to EMDR which is used within the NHS. If you have disturbing memories, flashbacks and/or intrusive imagery or any of the conditions mentioned above then Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) could be the answer for you.
As a Certified Integral Eye Movement Therapist I will help you to overcome any of your limiting beliefs about yourself and the condition and by using the eye tracking algorithms (moving my fingers across your field of vision in a particular way) allow you to feel differently in a very short space of time. This will help you to dissociate the mental images that trigger your unwanted feelings and any negative behaviours that follow. The method involves holding the problematic imagery in mind or the feeling whilst the eyes are moved in different directions. The result of this is often that the imagery and feeling loses its emotional impact and becomes far less disturbing. The image can lose focus, become blurry, can increase in distance, move location in time and significantly reduce in emotional intensity. Change can literally happen in the blink of an eye! Clients have said that the problem just doesn’t evoke the same feelings any more, even though they really try to bring those feelings back into their mind and body. This is usually followed by astonishment and bewilderment because they cannot access those feelings any more. The memory doesn’t go away but the way it affects them has radically changed. It just doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
Don’t suffer any more …. come and see what a difference it can make to your life.
If you are suffering and want help do get in touch. This is a quick change therapy and you don’t have to talk about your problem. I will ask you to get in touch with the feelings/images but you can keep the details to yourself if you want to. There is, of course, always the opportunity to share whatever you are feeling/experiencing but this is your choice.
